Variable Speed Drives (VSD) also known as variable frequency drives (VFD) control the Hertz supply to a 3 phase motors, this means that the speed of the motor can be controlled.

So how does this save energy? A electric motor running at 80% will save up to 50% in running cost, other advantage include soft starts and reduce run cycles, the no. of times a unit switches on and off, leading to greatly reduce wear and tear.

As refrigeration units all uses electrical motors, using VSD with our equipment is a logical choice.
